Myofascial Release is a technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure to the connective tissue restrictions that cause pain and discomfort. It is a very effective technique used to elongate the fascia thereby eliminating discomfort and restoring motion to the tissues of the body.
Conditions helped are Migraine Headache, TMJ Syndrome, Whiplash of the Spine, Rotator Cuff Injuries, Upper and Lower Back Discomfort, Pain due to Nerve Impingement or Disc Herniations, Hip Discomfort, Pelvic Floor Discomfort and Dysfunction.
The techniques of Stationary Circle, Rotary, Pump and Scoop are designed and adapted to increase the movement of lymph and interstitial fluid through the anatomy of the lymphatic system. The techniques are gentle at a rate of about 1 per second with 5-7 repetitions per area.
This modality is used to help clients who suffer from lymphedema or for whom lymphedema may be of concern. This lymphedema may be idiopathic in nature or may be the result of lymph node removal due to surgical intervention for cancer diagnosis. Naomi enjoys working with cancer survivors as well as those currently fighting cancer. She has worked with many clients who have undergone unilateral or bilateral mastectomy or lumpectomy and breast reconstruction.

Oncology Massage uses compassionate touch (very slow moving, light pressure, long strokes) to induce deep relaxation and reduce discomfort and anxiety for those newly diagnosed, currently in treatment & post treatment of most Cancers.
